There are many different "advertising" programs in many schools. You should narrow down what specifically you want. There are 2-year college programs, 3-year with coop and 4-year university programs that are more intensive in marketing. Some are more theory and some are more about design. For example, Seneca college offers a Creative Advertising program where you do both design and theory and can later develop it into a business degree with York University. Humber college offers a diploma in Advertising and Graphic Design. If you are not so art inclined, you can choose the marketing stream which is more creating the plans and researching what needs to be done and how to do it. The advertising college programs are geared more towards designing the advertisements that the marketing teams want. You can do marketing at both the college and university level and there are many option in that stream as well, Seneca has a few different choices in that stream too.
